
Dr. McPhilemy is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who was born and educated in Philadelphia.He is dedicated to providing his patients with both operative and non-operative care for their orthopaedic needs.
Dr. McPhilemy completed his undergraduate education at St. Joseph’s University and went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.He currently serves as Chairman and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as the Director of the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.
Some of his previous academic and medical appointments consist of Medical Director and Team Physician for the Philadelphia 76ers, in which he served for over 25 years, President of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, President of the Philadelphia Orthopedic Society, NBA Team Physician of the Year (2010) and Philadelphia Congress of Sports Medicine Doctor of the Year (2006).
