
Dr. Tjoumakaris is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with a subspecialty certification in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University.
He has authored numerous peer reviewed publications and book chapters in premier orthopaedic journals and lectures regionally, nationally, and internationally on his orthopaedic research.Dr. Tjoumakaris is the Associate Director of the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program as well as the Associate Director of Sports Medicine Research and serves as an instructor at numerous arthroscopy courses.Dr. Tjoumakaris specializes in sports medicine and shoulder surgery with special expertise in shoulder, knee, and hip arthroscopy and reconstructive procedures.
