A form of heel pain can be caused from a bone spur which is a calcium deposit that forms when a patient has been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a long time.
As plantar fasciitis continues for a while the body responds to the stress by laying down calcium deposits where the fascia tissue band connects to the heel bone.
