Ciccotti, Medical Director for the Philadelphia Phillies and Director of Sports Medicine at Rothman Orthopaedics, on how that relationship works, as well as what it means to be part of the Team Behind the Team.

Meet Dr. Michael G. Ciccotti, MD - Director of the Sports Medicine Team at Rothman Orthopaedics and is internationally recognized for his work in sports medicine. He is the Everett J. and Marian Gordon Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Rothman Orthopaedics and Thomas Jefferson University. He is currently Chief of the Division of Sports Medicine as well as the Director of Sports Medicine Fellowship and Research at Rothman Orthopaedics and the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Ciccotti also currently serves as the Chairman of the Major League Baseball Medical Advisory Committee, the President of the Orthopaedic Learning Center Board of Directors and the President of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has been the Head Team Physician for the Philadelphia Phillies, and is currently their Medical Director, as well as for Saint Joseph’s University sports. For 30 years, Dr. Ciccotti has been an integral member of both of those teams.
