Building Orthopaedics

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, along with its four equity partners-- the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Orthopaedic Learning Center—celebrated the opening of their new headquarters at 9400 West Higgins Road in Rosemont, Illinois on February 21, 2015. This celebration represented the culmination of a multi-year effort to create not only a new home for 25 orthopaedic specialty societies and other orthopaedic organizations but also a state of the art Orthopaedic Learning Center for surgical skills training, all under one roof. This spectacular facility will help to strengthen unity within the “house of orthopaedics” and insure that our educational efforts remain at the cutting edge of surgical skills training. The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute strongly supports these efforts through the involvement of many of its surgeons in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and other orthopaedic specialty societies and through a substantial contribution to Building Orthopaedics, the capital campaign established to support the new building and Orthopaedic Learning Center.
