Why did you choose Rothman?
The reason I chose Rothman is my sister had a Rothman physician do her back surgery and it was very successful so she HIGHLY recommended them.
When I met them for the first time they had only been with Rothman several months.But I spoke to a few doctors at other practices and one was a neurosurgeon and the others were orthopedic surgeons.My Rothman physician was the ONLY one who spent the time with me to show me the MRI on their laptop and explain what was wrong and exactly how they could fix it.They were very confident they could help me where most of the others did not.
Describe your experience.
The spinal stenosis and slipped disc completely disrupted my life. I wasn’t able to do much of anything, I was in pain most of the time. It made cycling difficult and swinging a golf club wasn’t going to work. I was giving up the things in retirement I really wanted to do.
What would you recommend to patients considering treatment?
I would tell them that based on my experiences, I would never think to consider surgery with anyone other than Rothman. The team at Rothman was helpful every step of the way. I would also tell those looking for similar surgical treatment, to make sure they think about the recovery just as seriously as I think about the potential needs for surgery. Rothman helped me with that mindset, and helped me thrive because of it.
